Now that the Turkey has been eaten and the pumpkin pie demolished, the Maine Stay is getting ready for Christmas. In Kennebunkport, the holidays arrive early, beginning the first weekend of December. Our now-famous Christmas Prelude is a few days away, and the town is aglow with twinkling lights and brimming with holiday cheer.
This Friday night is the lighting of Kennebunkport’s towering pine in downtown Dock Square, and the weekend will be filled with visits from Santa by lobster boat, caroling, bell ringing, craft fairs, and general merriment.
At the Maine Stay, we’re getting ready for Christmas Prelude, but have more lights to string and wreaths to hang.
